Download SetupHL2A.exe by clicking here. If the file tries to execute rather than download, right click the link and choose "Save as". After the download, double click it to install. This utility reads a .dat
or .txt
file and converts it to ADIF format, including assigning an ADIF number. If your .dat file looks
like this, select .dat when opening the input. If your .dat file looks like this There are a couple of trouble areas in conversions of this type, and I make no guarantees that your log will be done 100% correctly. You are responsible for verifying the ADIF file BEFORE you import it into your logging program. The following cause an error record to be written.
After installing HL2ADIF, use the Open log button to browse to your log. After selecting the .dat or .txt file, a second dialog will appear, so you can choose the output filename and location. The source and destination will be displayed. Select an input date format. Then click the Start button. When HL2ADIF is done, the counter will stop. If there were errors, you will be advised of their number, along with a prompt to review the error log. There should be enough information there to allow you to correct your log. If you un-install the program, be sure to move any files you want to save out of the directory first. Email me if you have problems or suggestions. |
